Ethiopia volcanic eruption LIVE updates: The Hayli Gubbi volcano in Ethiopia’s Afar region erupted on Sunday for the first time in nearly 12,000 years, sending thick ash feather across the Red Sea toward Yemen & Oman. The cloud has now expand over the northern Arabian Sea.

The nearby village of Afdera was blanketed in dust, & local media reported common tremors around Erta Ale & Afdera town. The volcano lies about 15 km southeast of the active Erta Ale volcano.

According to Nature Lover Vimlendu Jha, ash from Ethiopia’s volcano is now “floating around” over Indian regions like Gujarat, Rajasthan, & Delhi. While the sulphur dioxide & glass particle clouds are extensive, Jha reassured that because the ash remains in the “very upper atmosphere,” its smash will not immediately affect Delhi’s AQI, though he advised continued monitoring.

The latest analysis by India Met Sky Weather confirms the ash plume, which had Before caused flight disruptions in India, has moved away from Northern India & is spread into the upper atmosphere over China & the Pacific.
